Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Summer Press Academy will be run in two sessions: June 8-11 and July 13-16, tentatively from 6 PM - 10 PM ET each day.

  • The Summer Press Academy is a three-day program designed for high school students interested in journalism. Throughout the week, students will explore various aspects of journalism, learn from internationally-acclaimed guest speakers, and have the opportunity to get their work published by The Daily Pennsylvanian.

  • No experience is necessary! We will help you develop your journalism skills during the program.

  • We will continue to review applications on a rolling basis. You will receive your decision, and, if accepted, instructions to process your payment after we review your application.

  • The program will be held entirely virtually.

  • Yes! At the end of the program, you will be provided with a Certificate of Completion from The Daily Pennsylvanian.

  • Sessions are led by editors and staff of The Daily Pennsylvanian. Guest speaker sessions will be held by professional journalists.

  • Only a computer with access to the internet will be required.
