The Summer Press Academy will be held from August 6-8, tentatively from 11 AM - 4 PM ET each day.

The Summer Press Academy is a three-day program designed for high school students interested in journalism. Throughout the week, students will explore various aspects of journalism, learn from internationally-acclaimed guest speakers, and have the opportunity to get their work published by The Daily Pennsylvanian.

No experience is necessary! We will help you develop your journalism skills during the program.

We will respond to all applications submitted before May 15 by May 30, and will continue to review applications on a rolling basis afterwards. You will receive your decision, and, if accepted, instructions to process your payment after we review your application.

The program will be held entirely virtually.

Yes! At the end of the program, you will be provided with a Certificate of Completion from The Daily Pennsylvanian.

Sessions are led by editors and staff of The Daily Pennsylvanian. Guest speaker sessions will be held by professional journalists.
